4.10 Leaving troubles behind

Sunlit Tides

When they arrived the sky was just a clear blue and hot. It had taken them 30 minutes when they finally found the house they were looking for. Estevan parked the car and then they both walked inside. Estevan looked around the house and was taken aback how nice it was. He couldn't believe the father he never knew left him this home. He couldn't wait for the boys to see it but for now he was here to relax and have fun with Dawn.

While Estevan was relaxing downstairs Dawn was trying to decide which room they were going to stay in. Estevan was now worried Dawn was taking too long upstairs and went to investigate where she was. 

As he got to the top of the stairs he found her in the hallway. "Dawn why are you just standing there?"

"I'm trying to decide what room we should use." Estevan couldn't help but smile and held her tightly and replied, "Just pick a room, please."

"I get the message; we will have the back room overlooking the pool."

"Now do you need help unpacking?"

"I think I can manage that one." Dawn kissed him and asked, "Do we have anything to eat because I'm hungry."

Estevan went to make some food while Dawn went to unpack. She looked out the window and thought that pool is really calling me. She got changed and headed for the pool.

"I thought you wanted food?"

Dawn shouted I'm going to the pool first." Estevan watched Dawn swim for a moment and thought I'm here to relax I'm going to join her. 

He jumped in and caught up to her and pulled Dawn closer to him. She wanted to ask questions and get answers but the fact they were not arguing and having fun made Dawn decided against it and enjoy the moment.

The following morning just lying their together and no interruptions was just what they both needed. Dawn decided to go downstairs. When Estevan finally came down he put his arms around her and asked, "Did you eat as you forgot last night?"

"I did and it was nice." Dawn had made food but threw it away because she couldn't face eating it and didn't want questions to be asked so she lied to Estevan. They kissed for a moment then he asked, "What would you like to do today explore the island or go back to bed?"

Dawn blushed and replied in a girlish manner, "Is that the only reason you asked me here."

"And what is wrong with that?"

Painswater Point

"Don't tell me to calm down. Estevan is my business partner and the fact that Harmony knows something and refusing to tell me, why? Plus he has gone on holiday to avoid everyone."

Teddy knew Blair was on the edge and she knew what that temper of his could do. She was trying to think of a way to calm him down when he added, "Fuck this bullshit of his."

"Blair you will sort it out but whatever Estevan is keeping to himself, why do you have to know."

Blair yelled at Teddy, "We are business partners and that means no secrets. We know too much about each other to start having secrets. It's not good business."

"What you mean is each of you covers killings for each other and the drugs."

Blair was starting to see red at this point, "Just like that. Each one could put each other in prison for what we both know."

"So you think it's your right to know everything?"

Blair just glared at Teddy and she snapped back, "Don't you take this out on me either. I'm not the one you're mad at."

He realised who he was arguing with and quickly apologised. "Look I'm sorry it's just we are cleaning up the business moving forward settling down and now he is doing this."

"If a holiday is good enough for Estevan why don't we go away too?" Teddy replied.

"What about Harmony?"

Teddy asked, "Can't we just get away without Harmony."

"You win, where do you want to go?"

"I really don't know as long as you calm down. Besides you did promise to make it up to me after you changed me." 

Blair gave Teddy a kiss and said, "I'll get the baby sitter for Harmony and we will leave in the morning."
