5.38 The final moment

Elvira looked at her arms and fear suddenly swept over her.

She tried to hear thoughts of people she could here in the distance and said to herself, “No I’m a human, a mortal.”

She heard the bush sway in the distance but couldn’t see anyone; she started to make her way off the beach but jumped at every noise she heard.

Blair and Estevan were watching from the trees as she walked away and Estevan coldly said, “Normally I hate sharing my food but I think for one meal I can make an exception.”
“I totally agree with you, I really think Draco did us proud here.”
“I really think Draco will go far and he’s definitely on my good list right now.”
Blair and Estevan kept watch as they spoke to each other and Blair asked, “Do you think that is far enough now?”
Estevan laughed and coldly replied, “1…2…3…yes that’s far enough.”

Elvira was almost out of the beach when Ty stopped her, “Going somewhere?” She saw the red eyes that stared back at her and backed away, “I was just leaving…I’ve…been thinking maybe disappearing is a good idea.” Ty didn’t move but kept staring and coldly replied, “You hurt my girl and you think I’m going to let you leave without dealing with you first.” Elvira had never felt these human emotions before and in a shaky tone said, “I know you’re mad but I didn’t mean it.”
“You insult her parents and knocking her out meant nothing, bullshit.”

Then she saw another vampire come out, “Remember me?”
“No.”
“Art, I’m Heather’s son you once threatened my Mum…”
“Oh.”
“But you remember my Dad and Uncle Blake?”

Suddenly they appeared and she backed away even more.
William laughed and said, “The infamous Elvira isn’t scared, is she?”
“Do you know what big bro? I think you maybe right.”

When Elvira turned around she saw Blair and Estevan staring at her. She froze to the spot not able to move and said calmly, “Blair think of all the good times we had together…”
“They were so few good times that I can’t remember them. Everything you’ve ever done to me and now my family…today your sentence is being carried out.”

“You hurt Dawn and my son big mistake and as a starter I’m going to do to you what you did to Dawn.” Estevan grabbed her by the throat and squeezed as he lifted her. Elvira felt helpless as she hung in the air, trying to claw at Estevan to let her go.

She dropped to the floor shaken but before she knew what was happening Blair grabbed her and drank from her. She screamed but it fell on deaf ears as no one cared. Estevan took over and started to piece her skin in a different place so the pain was more excruciating. As each of them took their turns they all did something different. William hated her that with Elvira all most lifeless he punched her and watched her fall to the floor.

Blake grabbed her by her clothes and shook her and demanded, “Say you are SORRY!” Elvira tried to speak but she was too weak, he dropped her to the floor and stepped back.

Ty forced her up and drank from her then dropped her and when Art drank from her she let out a moan.
Estevan was about to drink from her but saw the evil in Blair’s eyes and stepped back and through his thoughts said, ‘Out of all of us you deserve the final moment.’

Everyone stepped back leaving Blair standing over Elvira and through his thoughts said to all of them, ‘The words you hear me speak must never be mentioned after this is done agreed.’
In unison he heard, ‘Yes.’

He took Elvira in his arms to finish the kill and said, “I know you can hear me Elvira so open your eyes.” She opened her eyes and in a whisper replied, “I only ever wanted you.”
“At one time that might have been true but you turned something once wonderful into something pure evil and enjoyed torturing the man you claimed to love. You were once the most feared vampire in the world now you are an evil woman who couldn’t bear to see people happy and had to destroy what they had in order to make you happy. All you did to me was made me hate and despise you.”
“I beg you to have mercy.”

Blair smiled at her but coldly said, “There will be no mercy just pure hatred as I finish your life,” then he pieced her skin and heard a faint moan of pain as he went deeper into her skin draining the rest of her body.

When Blair was finished he picked her up and let out a scream across the island to let everyone know she was finally dead.
Estevan looked at Blair and said, “We need to get home and clean up.”

They started to walk home, Art asked, “Dad, I know I turned early but I don’t want a party can I have that guy’s weekend we talked about.” William just smiled and said, “Let’s clean up first and then we will talk about your coming of age.”

5.10 Concern

Blake sat with Keith’s body waiting for the ambulance when he felt fear race through his body. Lexy needed him and he was going to be there.

He left the station in search for Lexy and with every step he took the fear grew then suddenly he felt nothing. Panic set in as he feared for Lexy’s life. The first thing he did was call for help, ‘Dad help, how do I find Lexy when I have no contact?’ Estevan heard the plea through his thoughts, ‘Stop and feel and make sure you can’t sense her. What was she doing?’
‘We found Keith dead and she went after the killer.’
‘What do you see around you?’
‘Dad this isn’t a game.’ Estevan lost his temper, ‘Answer the damn question.’ He could feel Blake’s panic grow as he answered his Dad.

‘There are some building and a park.’ Estevan quickly said, ‘Go to the park, if the criminal is calm he’ll hide in plain sight.’ Blake was already running towards the park.  ‘Dad what if…’
‘She will be fine don’t you dare think the worst. You have a long life ahead, marriage, babies, and grandchildren. Blake you have to believe that do you understand?’ Blake couldn’t answer he felt like his heart was breaking in half.
‘Blake, pull yourself together Lexy needs you. I’m not far away.’ Blake took a deep breath as he entered the park; he quickly scanned the area and saw Lexy in the corner lying on the floor with Blair over her and what look like a dead body to one side.

Blake ran to Lexy shouting, “No, no, no…” Blair saw the state he was in and said, “She passed out Blake she is fine. I knocked her out...”

Blake got to his feet ready to fight Blair when Estevan yelled, “Blake back down now.”
“I knocked her out but not in the way you think. That guy lying over there picked up a piece of wood and swung it in Lexy’s direction. She panicked and screamed I managed to stop that wood before it hit her head by pushing her out of the way but she hit her head anyway. However the killer over there is just breathing so we have to deal with him. I checked on Lexy and she is still breathing and was just starting to wake up.”
Blake wanted to argue but how could he; his uncle had arranged his wedding and now saved Lexy’s life. “Hun…”

Blake turned his attention to his wife as she was getting up from the floor. He went over to her and pulled her into his chest and said, “Are you ok?”
Lexy nodded, “Blair saved me from getting beat up and that’s all I remember.” Suddenly she remembered why she was in the park and rolled the guy over who was still conscious and said, “I’m arresting you for the murder of Keith Summers, you don’t have to say anything that may harm your defence that you may later rely on in court, do you understand?”

The guy murmured, “Yes.” Then some officers that Estevan had called took him away. “Blair, stay with Lexy a moment while I talk to Blake."

When they were far enough away he firmly said, “Blake, don’t argue with Lexy about her job, I know you hate it but now is not the time. Remember her boss was a friend too and losing her friend will be hard on her so be a good husband and just be there for her, understand?”
Blake nodded at his Dad and asked, “Are you mad at me…you know getting married?”
“I was but I understand why you did it and I’m happy for you both. I do have a wedding gift but I’ll give you that in a few days when Lexy is up to it.”

Lexy collapsed when she got out of the lift, Blake got down beside her and she said through tears, “Keith is dead because of me.”
“Baby, he died because of a mad man not because of you.”
“If we hadn’t taken the long way…”
Blake yelled, “Lexy stop this now. We had just got back and were on our way there, you would not have been able to prevent this but you caught his killer because you were there.”

He held her close to him and continued, “You are a fantastic cop; don’t ever ask me to repeat that but this why I get worried.”
“I’m quitting the job, I’m losing it.” Blake inside was jumping up and down with elation that Lexy wanted to quit the job but deep down even Blake knew she was quitting for the wrong reasons. He hated what he was about to say, “You can’t quit the job. You can only quit when you are at the top of your game.” Lexy was in shock, “Blake, do you really mean that?”
“I do. Now does Keith’s wife know?”

Lexy buried her head in Blake and said, “I don’t know.” She trembled as she took the phone in her hand.

She dialled his home number and his wife picked up the phone, “Mrs Summers, it’s Lexy Sail.” Before Lexy could say anything more she said, “Lexy I heard you got married congratulations.”
“Thanks,” making what Lexy had to say next even more difficult, “Mrs Summers, while Keith was on duty…he was killed.” Then she listened to his wife sob down the phone, “Where is my husband Lexy?”

“He’s been taken to the hospital. You will need to give a formal ID…I am sorry that you lost him.”
“Promise me you’ll catch the person or persons responsible.”
“He’s already in custody Mrs Summers.” After that there were a few moments of silence then they said their goodbyes. Lexy dropped the phone and cried while Blake just held her.

5.9 A bad feeling

Harmony lay on the bed thinking about when she saw Ty. ‘He kissed my hand and it felt wonderful but I need more than five minutes with him. I wonder what he looks like without his makeup. I don’t have his mobile number.’ There was a knock at the door, “Come in.”

Teddy walked in to see a big beaming smile on her daughters face. “What’s the boy’s name?” Harmony suddenly looked terrified, “I can’t tell you because you will tell Dad and then the boy I like will be dead.”
“Oh hunny, you honestly don’t think your Dad would do that, do you?”

“Yes I do. He expects me to live alone and never know what true love is. What about what I want? I want to talk for hours with the man of my dreams, have lots of kisses and more.”
“You mean having sex, Harmony?”
“Yuck no, after everything that I have heard it’s disgusting. I mean Kerry told me her boyfriend touched her breast and touched her down…you know there.” Teddy was trying not to laugh and composed herself to explain, “You really think sex is disgusting?”
“It’s all about men forcing us to do what we don’t want, right?”

Blair was sitting outside the door cringing at every part of their conversation and it took all his strength not to burst in there. He knew Teddy would lose it with him if he did. Teddy sighed, “No it isn’t Hun. Do you think that’s what your Dad does to me? I mean you did tell him about the disgusting noises coming from our room.” Harmony shrugged her shoulders then Teddy had to explain, “Sex is part of a relationship when two people love each other. Sex is a form of expression when it comes to being in love not what a man can get out of a woman. If a man forces himself on a woman and she says no then it is known as rape. Do you understand the difference?”

Harmony nodded and asked, “So if I have a boyfriend it’s ok to have sex?”
“Not until you are ready and not until you are of legal age. However just because you are the right age doesn’t necessarily mean you are ready either.”
“I understand Mum.”
“Now you were going to tell me the boy’s name.”
“What about Dad?”
“Leave him to me.”
“His name is Ty and he kissed my hand today but took off.”

Blair after hearing the name decided to go and find him.

Lexy and Blake had returned from honeymoon. They were taking the long walk to the station for Lexy to tell Keith she would be returning to work. “I wish you weren’t going to work in the morning, baby.”

Lexy sweetly looked at Blake, “Me either but I can’t lay in bed with you all day every day.”
Blake kissed her and said, “I can’t see anything wrong with that.”

Keith was waiting in the office for Lexy when he felt a sharp stabbing penetrate his back and again and again. When he turned around he saw a man stand over him, “I told you to release my partner but you don’t listen. You gave me no choice Keith.”

He smiled as he watched Keith struggle with the pain. He tried to get the phone from his pocket but the man stood on his chest and slowly increased the pressure. “I’m making sure you die tonight.” Keith struggled to talk, “You won’t get away with this.”
“But I will and when my partner is free it will be all your fault for those poor woman who have to enjoy us touching them and believe me they will enjoy it.”
“It’s not my fault, it will always be yours and you know it.”

Keith coughed up blood and tried to get free but he was becoming weaker every second, the man kicked him while he lay there on the floor. Keith started to shiver as he became cold and his eyes started to close but he tried to fight it but he couldn’t and with one last breathe he closed his eyes and stopped breathing.

The man wiped his knife and placed it back in his pocket. He smiled as he glanced at Keith’s dead body then he took a cloth from his pocket and opened the office door and closed it behind him as if nothing had happened.

He past Lexy and Blake as they entered the station but Lexy had a bad feeling something was wrong.

When they entered the room she saw the trail of blood and knew instantly that Keith was dead. “Blake that guy we past, I think he did this. Call an ambulance.” Before Blake could say anything Lexy took off. She knew if she could read his mind then she would know.

She saw him strolling in the park and as she came closer she heard in his mind, ‘Now Keith is out the way, it’s back to business.’ He made a call, “Did you post bail?”
This was enough evidence for Lexy.  She quickly knocked him to the ground with anger and frustration in her punches. She had to keep it together just long enough to arrest him for Keith’s murder, “What’s your name?”
“Not telling you but you seem good enough for a good seeing to.”

Lexy growled at him suddenly knowing who he was and said very coldly, “I’m arresting you for the murder of Keith Summers.” The guy suddenly realising she was a cop reached for a piece of wood and picked it and swung it towards Lexy.

Thanks Karima for your help on a few pictures :)

4.26 Love and the Truth

Advisory: Some nudity

Teddy stormed out of the room and downstairs. Blair went after her, “Will you just stop and listen, please.”
Teddy turned around, “You are the most self-centred man I’ve ever met. You leave me alone and pregnant. Did you know they wanted to terminate the baby to save me?”
Blair pleaded with her, “I really am sorry but you didn’t do it, did you?”
“Oh I see me keeping the baby makes everything ok, does it?”
“I didn’t mean it like that and you know I had to help Estevan. It was you that pointed out he was family, my brother. Leaving you and Harmony was one of the hardest things I ever had to do. Tell me you understand?”
“All I know is my husband took off and when I found you I begged you to come home but you sent me away. I’ve been so lonely and miserable. I hated Harmony seeing me like that. The baby has been suffering too.”
“I’ll make it up to you I promise.” Teddy just looked at him and harshly replied, “And how are you going to do that?”
“I want us to go away to relax and have fun…”

Teddy interrupted him as she got closer with her lips only inches apart, “Does your idea of going away include lots of sex?” Blair smiled and replied, “Most defiantly.” Teddy pushed him away and angrily said, “So you thought a few days away filled with sex would solve things between us. You must think I’m stupid.” Teddy made her way towards the stairs and then said, “Don’t think this argument is over and don’t follow me either.”
Blair jumped as he heard the door slam behind her. ‘This is getting out of hand. How can I make this up to her if she won’t let me try?’

He’d had enough of this arguing and stormed into the bedroom. Teddy had her back to him, “I thought I told you not to follow me.”

Blair went to Teddy and made her face him, “I normally wouldn’t do this but I love you and I’m telling you we are going away. I just want to be with you and put this right. We are leaving in the morning.”
Blair then headed for the door when Teddy asked, “What about Harmony?”
“I’ve made arrangements for her to stay with William and Heather. I spoke to Harmony and she is fine with it. I’ll be down the hall if you need me.”

Once the door closed Teddy fell on the bed holding back the tears and quietly said, “He’s never been like that with me before, telling me what we are going to do. I’m so confused because when I look at him all I want is to be with him but I’m still mad and now I have to spend another night alone. Am I being silly?” Teddy heard Blair through her thoughts, ‘You don’t have to be alone. You only have to ask.’ She thought for a moment then asked, ‘I just want company.’
Once she had spoken those words Blair opened the door and said, “I’m here.” He watched as she went to the bathroom to get changed. She always changed in front of him but he knew he had to give her space. Blair knew this wasn’t going to be easy and he knew deep down he deserved what Teddy dished out to him but it didn’t stop him missing her.

When she came back she had new lingerie on that he’d never seen before. Teddy decided the best way to get back at Blair was show him what he was missing. “You know you are torturing me.”
“Blair, I always wear lingerie to bed you know that.” Then she lay next to him and she fell asleep in his arms while Blair lay there awake thinking about what they could be doing.

Estevan started to undo Dawn’s dress and said softly, “It’s time to connect.” Dawn started to panic, “What do you mean?” The dress by now was on the floor revealing a corset with stockings underneath. “We talked about this Dawn. I wanted to connect with you after we slept together but you refused. Now we are married I have too. Being a vampire the need to connect with you, to drink from you won’t go away.”

“Estevan I’m frightened it will hurt and…” He started to kiss her neck softly and slowly and asked, “How does that feel?” Dawn closed her eyes and felt the sensual touch of the kiss on her neck. She tilted her head even more so he could kiss other parts of her neck. “Wow you’ve never kissed my neck like that before.” Estevan had just finished taking the last of the blood from Dawn when he picked her up in his arms and carried her to the bed, “I connected with you…”
“You mean that kiss on the neck was you drinking from me?” Estevan smiled at Dawn, “I would never hurt you so I was really gentle and you enjoyed it.”

As Dawn lay on the bed Estevan just stared at her admiring his bride in her lingerie as he trailed his hand up her side.  Dawn let out a small laugh. “Are you nervous?” Estevan asked.
“Sounds strange but a little and I have no idea why.”
“It’s not our first time but it is a special night.”

Now both naked, Dawn sat up slightly to kiss her husband, “I love you.”
“I love you too.” As they looked into each other’s eyes an overwhelming desire of passion took over and the talking stopped. The intensity of their passion wasn’t like anything they had experienced before until finally they had exhausted each other and fell asleep with a smile on each of their faces.

When Estevan woke up Dawn was not next to him. He found her in the kitchen cooking breakfast.

He spun her around quickly and said, “Never mind breakfast. Come back to bed because I think I forgot to explore some parts of that beautiful body of yours.”
Dawn smiled, “That’s not the way I remember it.”

Estevan lifted Dawn onto the counter, “You know if you won’t come to bed then I guess we will just have to make love here.” Dawn knew that look all too well and returned the comment with a kiss.

Teddy had brought her bag down and asked, “Where are we going?”
“You will find out when we get there. Now I have my full strength back I can do all sorts of things.” Teddy didn’t like that last statement Blair made and in fear of what he would say asked anyway, “What do you mean by that?”

“You can’t block your mind properly so is there something you need to confess.” Teddy couldn’t believe it Blair knew and he was making her relive the whole mess again, “Please don’t make me say this please Blair I beg you.”
“Sorry but it has to be done.” Just then Estevan walked in. “You called Estevan?”

Ignoring her question he asked Estevan, “Where is your wife?”
“I sent her shopping and I’m meeting her for lunch so this better be good Blair after all this is my honeymoon and you are interrupting it.”
“It won’t take long but you need to hear this. I didn’t get it all but got most of it but we are just waiting for Daphne and Blake to turn up.” No sooner had Blair spoken those words they both walked in the door. Daphne realised what was going on and tried to make an excuse to leave but Blair wasn’t hearing any of it. “Sit down now both of you.”

Daphne and Blake sat down and Estevan asked, “What the hell is going on?”
“I only found out when I reconnected with Teddy again. Remember the call we received the morning of the wedding about Adam was found dead in his cell?”
“I’m not sorry he is dead. Are you? What does it have to do with my Mum, Blake and Teddy?” Estevan asked.
“We were so preoccupied with wedding stuff that I didn’t read minds, did you?” Estevan then went over to where the three of the sat and asked, “Who what’s to speak first?”

Daphne piped up first, “It was kinda my idea.”
Blair asked, “Kind of?”
“Truth is your Dad and I agreed. Then we asked for Teddy and Blake’s help.” Estevan and Blair just looked as she continued, “Adam is or was a descendant of an ancient vampire. I won’t bore you with those details but that was how he could over power you Blair. Your Dad saw the whole thing and wanted revenge.”
“Teddy doesn’t know about that night.”

Teddy stood up and said, “I managed to block that from you. Daphne told me how Adam slit your throat. She said you were in hospital and healing. I did get to the hospital but you wouldn’t see anyone so I just told them not to tell you I had tried. Anyway I was angry, you could have died being so weak.”

Blair pulled her close, “I didn’t realise you knew about any of it. I’m so sorry.”
Holding on even tighter Teddy replied, “I’ve missed you so much, Blair. The anger I felt was overwhelming so I had to do something. He was going out of control. So I released your Dad from the graveyard…”

“It’s ok gorgeous. You did what you felt you had to do.” Blair replied then Blake added, “I made the potion to turn granddad human.”
Daphne then continued the story, “Once released from the graveyard he went to the jail where Adam was being held. Your Dad passed through the wall and saw Adam asleep. Then he drank the potion turning him human then he strangled Adam with his bare hands. After about five minutes the potion wore off and he passed through the wall the same way he came in. If you ask if I regret it the answer is no. I mean he tried to destroy my son, my grandson and my great grandson and Blair. He had to pay.” Estevan was about to say something but Dawn came in and Estevan’s attention was now on his wife, “Sweetheart, I thought we were meeting for lunch?”
“I was at one shop and after buying something I then thought I’m on a honeymoon I should be with my husband not shopping on my own.” Estevan smiled and asked, “What did you get because I don’t see a bag?”

Dawn went red and replied, “I can’t show you in front of everyone one.” Estevan now intrigued held Dawn close and said to everyone, “I should be angry but I’m not and thank you for telling us the truth. Blair enjoy your time away with Teddy. Mum and Blake I’ll see you when I get back from honeymoon. Please no more interruptions from any of you.”

Once home Dawn took Estevan to the bedroom and asked, “Can we stay here in this house for our honeymoon?”
“We can but I thought you had to show me something.” Dawn stripped naked and showed him the tattoo. “Is it still painful?”
“A little and now you have something new to explore.”

Letting out a small laugh, Estevan then pulled her towards him and softly said, “Well I better not waste my time and start exploring then.”

Thanks to Val for the beautiful tattoo
