Sorry for
the chapter being short
Teddy looked
at her bump and said, "Come on hun, your late. Do mummy a favour and get
out please. I want to meet you and so does your Daddy. I'm fed up now, why are
you taking so long."
Blair
chuckled and replied, "She'll come when she is ready."
He could see
the pregnancy was getting to her. Even though they were married the stress of
not being intimate was getting to both of them but it was Blair who kept
reassuring Teddy that he loved her and still wanted her. Teddy hated being
pregnant and kept saying sorry to Blair for not being able to make love but as
Blair reminded her they were together and because she was carrying a vampire,
the baby was putting her body through hell. He did admit to her that he missed
having sex but it would happen and that he couldn't wait when it did.
Blair knew
it could be any day now when Teddy went into labour. He cancelled meeting
and looking after the clubs as Teddy needed him more than ever. While she slept
Blair would sit and read books to occupy his time. If he wasn't reading he was
playing the piano. Then tending to his wife when she needed him.
Blair was
starting to worry that the baby would never arrive when he heard Teddy yell for
him, "What's wrong?" He didn't need her to answer. The baby was on
her way.
"We
need to get you to hospital."
In between
her contractions she stated, "Blair, I'm not going anywhere. It's too late."
"No we
need to..."
Teddy interrupted
him as she yelled through the pain, "I'm not going the baby is almost here
so help me deliver our baby."
"I'll
phone..."
"No
time. This hurts so much can the baby just stay inside."
"I
thought you..." Blair shut up when he saw the look Teddy gave him.
Blair hated
seeing her in pain but all could do was be there and help. He tried to get her
to steady the breathing. In between the contractions she would lie back and
wish it was all over as she was so tired. Then the contractions would start
again and she would squeeze Blair's hand.
"Isn't
the baby here yet?" Teddy cried.
"It
won't be long."
Teddy pushed
again and again, "I'm so tired."
Blair reassuring
her, "You are almost there."
"We are
never having another baby."
"I know
it's hard but it will be worth it."
"Hard, hard
you don't know what this pain is like." He didn't respond to her comment
but just helped her to keep breathing and tried to get her to stay calm.
Teddy gave
another push and finally she heard her daughters first cry. Blair gave her to
Teddy and she snuggled her for a moment and fell asleep with the baby in her
arms. Blair took her away, kissed Teddy forehead and said in a whisper, "I
love you gorgeous."
Closing the
bed room door behind him, he carried his daughter to her room. As he appropriated
her room the baby made a sound and her little hand touch Blair ever so slightly.
He stopped and looked down at her, "Hello Harmony." She give what he
thought was a smile but in truth was a bit of wind but that didn't matter to
Blair he scooped her up and snuggled her rocking her to sleep.
