4.7 Jealousy

Art was playing in the sandpit while Heather kept a watchful eye on him. Art was too busy throwing sand everywhere not listening to his mum telling him not to throw the sand. Heather saw a familiar figure walk pass her and shouted, "Hi." When the person turned around it was Teddy looking at her but ignored her and carried on playing with Harmony.

Heather picked up Art and put him on the ride next to Harmony and repeated, "Hello."

Teddy looked at Heather and growled, "What do you want?"

Heather was upset that Teddy could be mad at her for no reason and asked, "What have I ever done to you?"

She settled Harmony on the floor and spat back, "What happened when Blair came to stay?"

"Nothing happened. The only thing that happened was he sat in a chair talking about you. We hardly spoke. You honestly think that he and I...Teddy, Blair loves you and I love William."

"I know he loves me but in the back of my mind I keep thinking he is going to cheat on me."

"Listen, I saw the other side of Blair but with you he is different."

Teddy wanted to move on and asked, "How are you finding motherhood?"

"Art is being difficult at the moment and that's why we are staying with Estevan. Art settles really well with his Granddad. Will wants to move back home and thinks this parent thing is great and wants another baby but I can't have another baby while Art is a handful."

"Harmony is more for her Dad than me. Blair can walk in a room and I'm history. When Blair was at Estevan's she refused to do anything till Daddy came home."

"Are you going to have any more kids?"

"We are trying but its wait and see." They left the park together not as friends but on better terms and that was a start.

"So we are now set?" Estevan asked.

Blair replied, "The permits are now in place. We have the land to build just waiting for the designs."

Will asked, "Are the designs ready?"

Blake said, "Dawn has been working on them for weeks so there should be something."

Estevan raised his voice, "Can I speak? Thank you. I will ask Dawn for the designs. I have seen them and they look great."

Blair mumbled under his breath, "You would say that as your sleeping with the designer."

Estevan heard every word Blair spoke and barked, "What was that Blair." The boys got out of their seats and took a few steps back in case it got out of hand.

"Well you are sleeping with Dawn and you don't trust anyone's option on her designs accept yours."

Estevan got closer and spat, "You are treading on very thin ground Blair. What the hell has gotten in to you?"

Blair lost his temper, "You have. Dawn is not producing her best work but will you say anything? No. Why because you blinded by love for her that you won't tell her she is not up to standard. You refuse to let any of us deal with her and now the casino is behind schedule. Either let one of us speak to her or tell her yourself."

Estevan shouted, "Does everyone feel like this?" William and Blake looked at each other then in unison replied to Estevan, "Yes."

Will then spoke out, "Dad it couldn't hurt if I looked at them could it?" Estevan looked around the room then looked at William and said quietly, "Fine but I want to talk to her first."

Blake then spoke out but wished he hadn't when he saw the glare in his Dad's eye, "So what is this big secret?"

Blair loved seeing Estevan look uncomfortable and asked with a grin, "What's this Estevan has a secret. I've know you a long time and you have a secret." Blair made himself comfortable and continued, "You know Harmony said you had a secret and I tried to get her to tell me and when she wouldn't say anything I thought she was just playing as kids do..." Estevan interrupted Blair, "Your daughter knows the secret."

Blair taking pleasure seeing Estevan squirm, replied with almost a laugh, "Estevan it seems it's either you tell us or I ask my daughter because she will tell me." The boys weren't sure whether they should be pleased a toddler knew the secret or not but judging by their Dads reaction it wasn't good.

Estevan sat there now wondering had his time finally ran out.
