2.18 Finding Teddy

Teddy was looking out the window and watched the world go by. It had been a few weeks since that night at Blair's home. She blamed herself for the killing of her ex but at the same time she was relived at the fact he was gone. Several times a day her phone would ring and it would always be Blair calling.

How could she be so wrong about him? She liked Blair but after seeing what happened made her feel sick. The bruises may have gone be the scares would be there for life. Teddy had mixed feels about Blair now, could she trust him? Would he be controlling like her ex and would he cheat on her?

She remembered that Blair told him, "She belongs to no one but herself." It was nice to see that someone saw her as a person in her own right rather than a possession. She wanted to hear Blair's side of the story but would he tell her the truth and would he also leave her to decide her own future.

"Answer the damn phone." as Blair worried. He had exhausted all places where she might be.  He now was going to look further a field for her and hope when he found her she would listen to him and realise he was not the monster she might think he is.

Estevan had told him not to worry about work and he should find Teddy and explain things and then get her home. Blair was trying but so far she didn't want to be found. The more time that passed the more Blair's concern grew. He went to his Black room to try and relax but it wasn't working his feelings for Teddy were growing and this feeling in the pit of his stomach of never seeing her again made him panic. He didn't like these feelings and knew the only way they would go away was to find her safe and well.

Teddy made her food and sat down to eat when her phone rang again. She ignored it and put the phone down on the table so she could continue to eat but didn't realise that she had pressed the answer button. As she was eating, she could hear very faintly "Teddy, Teddy speak to me." At first she jumped back as she felt terror wash over her then she saw the phone had been answered and she thought "Shit now what do I do."

She held the phone to her ear and said, "Hi Blair."

"Are you ok? Where the hell have you been?"

"I'm ok."

"That's it I'm ok and there's me worried about you. Look tell me where you are and I'll come and get you."

"No. I don't want to come home."

"But...but...but."

"Blair I need to sort things out and after what happened, I..."

"There's nothing to sort out. I did what I did because that bastard hurt you. I am sorry you saw it but he deserved it. We need to talk about this more. We need to do this face to face."

"I'm sorry Blair." and hung up. Teddy put the phone down and felt sadness as she sat down. She could hear the concern in his voice and would phone him back but she needed to think about what he had said to her. 
Her ex had gotten violent towards her and he was planning to drag her home and continue to vent his anger. Thankfully Blair came home and stopped it escalating but her ex had died as a result. Teddy never wanted Blair to kill him but neither could she deny that she wasn't sorry that her ex was dead.

It was nice to be able to go places without worrying if you were going to be attacked. The last few weeks for Teddy had been wonderful being able to go to the shops, the park or to a club and watch the latest entertainment, she felt like herself again.

Blair was more determined to find her and sort this out. At least now he knew she was alive. He called an old friend who was a retired cop and told him a friend was missing but had answered the phone could he trace where the call came from. The friend phoned him back saying the call came from the city Starlight Shores but that was all he knew.

Blair packed up his things and headed towards the city and if he had too he would knock every door until he found her.
